A successful visit of the delegation of Ain Shams University at Germany

Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research visited the University of Leipzig, Germany, under the auspices of Prof. d. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, President of the University. The visit continued for four days, accompanied by Mr. Maged Abu Alainin Dean of the Faculty of Education Ain Shams University.

Where Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab and his accompanying delegation consisting of Prof. Klaus Altmair, Executive Director of the Herder Institute, Dr. Christian Fandrich, Director of the Joint Master Program in Germany, discussed ways of joint cooperation between the two universities in respect of the joint program in German as a foreign language, implemented by the Herder Institute at Leipzig University and the Center for Excellence in German Language Studies and Research Under the supervision of Dr. Medhat Sulaiman, Program Manager and Mrs. Zahra, Program Coordinator.

During the meeting, it was agreed to provide the administrative capabilities to register the graduates of the joint master's degree for the doctoral degree in the departments of the Faculty of Education - Ain Shams University. It was also agreed to take action to establish a PhD program in German as a foreign language, in cooperation with the University of Leipzig.

He also met with the director of the libraries of the University of Leipzig (Prof. Ulrich Johannes Schneider). The delegation was given an overview of the work of the library and then some pieces of the rare papyrus collection of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina were exhibited, the most important of which is the Iberian papyrus, which the library of the University of Leipzig keeps within the rare collection of the library.
